The Johnstown FC Code of Conduct, outlined below, applies to all players, managers, coaches, club officials, spectators, and parents/guardians. It is essential that everyone associated with the Club follows this Code of Conduct to maintain our F.A. Accredited Club Status.
The Code of Conduct accompanies the Club's full rules, which are available upon request. We warmly welcome anyone who agrees to abide by the Code of Conduct and Club rules and appreciate your cooperation.
Johnstown FC stands firmly against all forms of discrimination and strives to treat everyone involved with the Club fairly and equally.
Our primary goal is to ensure that every child enjoys playing football in a positive environment. All those connected to the Club are encouraged to support the players and set a positive example.
Johnstown FC is committed to child protection and will not tolerate any form of abuse. Any incident of abuse will be promptly reported to the relevant authorities.
As a Club, we advocate for fair play and full respect towards other clubs and match officials. Any player who uses foul language, behaves abusively, or plays dangerously will be substituted and reported to the Club Committee. Any other person associated with the Club who exhibits similar behaviour will also be reported. If this behavior occurs on Club property, a referee, manager, or official may ask the person to leave. Failure to comply will result in the matter being reported to the police.
The decisions of the referee and their assistants are final and should not be challenged by players or anyone connected to the Club.
Players must promptly pay any applicable registration, match, or training fees.
Attendance at training sessions is mandatory unless agreed in advance with the manager or coach, and players must arrive on time.
Parents/Guardians must ensure that a manager or coach is present before leaving a player at a training session and should arrange for timely pickup at the agreed time.
For matches, players must arrive on time and inform their manager or coach in advance if they are unable to attend. If transportation is an issue for an away game, parents/guardians must arrange for the player to be taken to and from the match.
Decisions made by the manager or coach regarding team selection or management must be respected. However, we encourage positive communication between parents/guardians and coaches.
Everyone associated with the Club must adhere to the Club’s Social Media Policy and refrain from any actions that could damage the Club’s reputation. The Social Media Policy is available on the Club’s website.
If any parent/guardian has a complaint, they should submit it in writing to the Club Secretary, who will bring the matter to the attention of the Club Committee.
